We are locally owned and operated; licensed, bonded, and fully insured.  Homebound Hounds LLC is owned and operated by Angie H.  She has over 25 years of experience working with animals in various capacities.  Her high school and college years were spent working in veterinary hospitals and pet sitting for various clients.  She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Animal Science, and then began a career working in the Lab Animal industry where she supervised a research institution for a little over a decade, while also obtaining her Master's Degree.  Working in the Lab Animal field was certainly rewarding, but Angie's passion lies with companion animals and helping pet owners provide the most balanced, healthy lifestyle for their pets.  She has a deep understanding for what pets need in order to thrive physically and emotionally, and what better way to share her expertise, than by opening a pet care service, where she can be a trusted resource for pet parents, while providing professional care and services.  

She has experience working with all types of companion animals, including exotics.  She also dedicates a large portion of her time volunteering and fostering dogs for various local and national animal rescue organizations.  She currently serves as the North Carolina Rescue Coordinator for Cavalier Rescue USA.

 

While Angie provides most of the services, we do have a small team of back-up professional caregivers which have been carefully chosen, screened, and trained, that help during busy times.
